Gli Astra aprono la serata del 14 luglio.
Si anticipa alle 19:00 l'inizio dei concerti per la serata del 14 luglio per un'apertura tutta italiana: quella dei romani Astra. La power-prog band si aggiunge ad un line-up interessantissimo che precedera' il grande concerto dei Porcupine Tree! (19 giugno 2010)

Dweezil Zappa al Pistoia Blues!
Un tributo a Frank Zappa nel 70ennale della nascita del geniale compositore americano e a 28 anni dalla sua storica esibizione nell'edizione 1982 del Festival. Il 17 luglio sara' in parte dedicato al leggendario musicista californiano con l'esibizione in Piazza Duomo di Dweezil Zappa in uno show dall'eloquente titolo "Dweezil Zappa plays Zappa". Da anni Micah P. Hinson (nato nel 1981 in Texas) sta svolgendo un suo peculiare e fortissimo discorso sul blues, il folk e lo spiritual innestando questi linguaggi su un cantautorato di grande spessore. Lo abbiamo seguito ed amato e finalmente oggi lo presentiamo nel festival che soprattutto quest'anno affianca ai mostri sacri nuovi artisti di sicuro interesse. (30 aprile 2010)
Mario Biondi a Pistoia Blues!
Venerdi' 16 luglio la grande voce della black music italiana, quella di Mario Biondi, sara' protagonista in Piazza Duomo. Blues, soul e jazz sono il pane di questo artista che e' riuscito, partendo da Catania dove e' nato nel 1971, a conquistare un pubblico internazionale. (30 aprile 2010)

Per permettere l'inserimento di Jimmie Vaughan il 18 luglio, dato che il sabato sera e' impegnato in un Blues Festival oltralpe, e' stato deciso di anticipare la performance di Buddy Guy il giorno 17. (24 marzo 2010)

Chi si preoccupava di non sentire la "musica del diavolo" al prossimo festival puo' stare tranquillo...sembra infatti che nei prossimi giorni saranno confermati molti altri artisti blues per i giorni 17 e 18 luglio; tra i rumors si parla del grande chitarrista Jimmie Vaughan, fratello del leggendario Stevie, di Buddy Whittington altro grande virtuoso delle sei corde conosciuto per i suoi assoli nei BluesBreakers di John Mayall, del nuovo talento Cedric Burnside nipote e figlio d'arte insieme ad un altro artista della nuova generazione Lightnin' Malcolm, dell'italiano Francesco Piu.(22 marzo 2010)
James Hunter, nuova conferma al Pistoia Blues!
Uno dei primi artisti a confermare la sua presenza per il 17 luglio e' il britannico James Hunter. Nato nel '62 a Colchester - Essex, James Hunter, nominato per i Grammy Awards, racconta il suo avvicinamento al blues e al soul con una battuta: "non e' come essere cresciuto con il blues in Alabama ma nella mia parte di Inghilterra ogni luogo a sud di Watford sarebbe stato considerato...Alabama.(17 marzo 2010)
